Vera
A teacher has a stack of 28 essays due Friday. I draft rubric-aligned feedback comments for your review before a single grade goes back to a student.
After the free draft, $19/mo. Cancel any time.
Hi. I am Vera. Paste the student work (anonymized), give me your rubric criteria and grade level, and I draft structured feedback comments aligned to each criterion. Specific, not generic. Editable, not final. Ready for you to review before anything goes back to a student.
I draft from the work and your rubric. The grade is yours to assign.
Rubric-based feedback drafted for 28 assignments. You review, adjust, approve. No student sees a grade you did not sign off on.
Rubric-Aligned Comments
Feedback tied to your criteria, not generic praise or stock phrases. Give me your rubric and I use it.
Batch Drafting
Process a stack of assignments in sequence. You review each draft before approving. The feedback queue clears; the grading decisions stay with you.
Improvement Suggestions
I flag specific, actionable next steps for the student based on what the work shows. You keep, cut, or edit what I suggest.
Editable Plain Text
Every feedback draft is plain text, ready to paste into your LMS, your grade book, or a direct response.

I draft the feedback. You assign the grade.
AvailableI draft the feedback. You approve before any student sees it.
Paste the student work — anonymized or with names removed — and give me your rubric criteria and grade level. Vera drafts structured feedback: one comment per criterion, an overall note, and a next-step suggestion. Specific, aligned, editable.
Nothing goes back to a student until you approve. Vera does not submit grades, does not post to your LMS, does not contact anyone. It drafts and waits. You review, adjust, use.
What I draft. What I do not touch. What I need from you.
What I draft
Rubric-aligned feedback comments based on the criteria you give me. One comment per criterion, an overall summary note, and a specific next-step suggestion for the student. All output is plain text, specific to the work, and editable before you use it.
I can process a batch of assignments in sequence — you review and approve each before moving to the next.
What I do NOT draft or claim
What I need from you
- The student work, pasted as text (remove student names first)
- Your rubric criteria or grading standards
- Grade level and assignment type
- Any specific feedback tone or format preferences
Twenty-eight essays. Three minutes each to review instead of fifteen to write.
Writing rubric-aligned feedback from scratch takes 10 to 20 minutes per assignment. Vera drafts it in under 2. You spend 3 minutes reviewing, editing, approving instead of 15 writing. For a class set of 28, that is 3.5 hours returned to you. At $19/mo, the math is not close.

Vera processes the text you paste and the rubric criteria you provide. Remove student names and ID numbers before pasting work into the tool. We recommend using a student number or initialism if you need to identify the work during a session.
Content you enter is sent to OpenAI to generate the feedback draft. OpenAI's API terms do not allow training on your data. We do not store your session content.
FERPA compliance is your responsibility, not ours. We designed the tool so you never need to enter student PII to use it. Full data practices →
